I believe you can divorce after having a child, which is what I plan to do so I can go back to dating both Anthony & Miles. I think that there were some coding issues related to remaining poly while married that would have required major reworking, but I do agree that it'd be nice to have both! I'd love to just marry everyone, even if we all have our own "main" houses
